It's a little tricky to get the darts to spread in a favorable pattern, and the instructions say to toss it in an arc for best results. The number of pumps also affects the spread of the six darts the grenade shoots. You kinda have to figure out for yourself how many pumps are necessary. This is an okay toy for kids, but for nerf battles this grenade takes some practice to use effectively. Throw it up in the middle of a room, and you're almost guaranteed to hit a guy, and if you throw it just right, maybe you can clear the entire room. It also works well as a trap, throw it at a wall facing a door or hall and you got a nice trap.
