Lanard Shell Shock X-6 with Ammo Clip Reviews
2 of 3 people found the following review helpful Looks cool but requires special parts, = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Lanard Shell Shock X-6 with Ammo Clip (Toy) I have to admit I love the way that the shells spit out of the gun, but the special dart "shells" and smaller than average darts mean that if you aren't careful the gun could become useless. The good news: 1. Looks cool spitting our shells 2. Comes with spare shells and darts 3. While the darts are smaller than normal nerf darts, you can trim down the darts used in the nerf long shot and they will fit in the shells 4.reloading the shells in the clip is easy and quick 5. Holds 6 darts in the clip The Bad news 1. The unique shells can easily get lost 2. The spring is not as powerful as the nerf maverick 3. The clip will not fit the nerf tag darts Overall the gun is alot of fun, and looks cool. Great for quick office nerf wars and just showing off. Just remember to pick up the shells Good looks, cool engineering, poor shooter, E (NY NY) - See all my reviews = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Lanard Shell Shock X-6 with Ammo Clip (Toy) This is a cool-looking nerf-style gun. Its darts load into a shells, which load into a clip. The mechanism is very similar to a semi-automatic handgun - which is both the biggest pro and the biggest con. It looks and feels great. Racking the slide pops a fresh dart into the chamber and ejects the empty shell. Awesome. At the same time, I'd hesitate to give this to a small kid, because the action is so realistic. However, because this is a relatively complicated mechanism, the tolerances are huge. The gun doesn't misfire or jam a lot, but it's underpowered and inconsistent. Darts fly between 6 and 15 feet, approximately, and good luck hitting something smaller than a person at a few paces. Also, you're going to spend a lot of time picking up shells and darts - neither of which are sold separately, so you do want to hang on to them. |
